Can I just throw out there that lately I’ve been putting a drop or two of eucalyptus and lavender in the bottom of my shower. I LOVE IT! You know, if you’ve ever had the pleasure of going to the spa, that they have a steam room or sauna room. Well, back in California I have amazing people in my life who gave me a card to get a free spa treatment. While this new mom to an eight month old at the time gladly took a spa treatment, I went into one of these lovely rooms and they had eucalyptus oil mixed with the steam the sprayed out occasionally. It was by far the most relaxing place. Mix that room with a cold glass of cucumber water and it’s one awesome day. So as I said I’ve been putting eucalyptus and lavender in the bottom of my shower and with a little less steam it is still sooooooo relaxing. Did I put enough O’s? haha I just love that I can be in my own shower and get the same relaxing feeling as a sauna/ steam room.
So as I said I would make a separate page for all my essential oils for you guys. I finally did but I cant post there it will still be on my home page as well. So it’s just more in depth I guess. On this lovely page I will post my personal link for anyone wanting to peruse through things, I just have to get that website set up. I have grown to love what all they have done for my family and I. Knowing everything is completely produced by them and how picky they are with the product they put out, puts this mommas mind at ease. So hop on over to the young living tab to know just a little more about young living and I 🙂
So I know what you’re gonna say, another oil post?! I know. I know. But let me tell you guys how happy I am right now. Jack has been sleeping so much better. We got this new oil called cedarwood and we put it in the diffuser in his room with lavender….He woke up once. Once! And he didn’t even wake up until like 10-11 the next morning. I slept so good! Plus we had a pretty happy well rested baby the following day. Happy baby = Happy mom and dad.
So it’s winter which means it’s also cold and flu season along with everything else. So of course the one time we take Jack out shopping with us he develops the start of a cold the following two days. He was having trouble sleeping too because he was having a hard time breathing with his stuffy, runny nose. So since I have an oil diffuser I thought well we could put some lavender in it because that’s suppose to help you sleep, right? Well, I was thinking maybe I could throw in some thieves, too, because it’s suppose to help boost your immune system. When you have a sick baby you’ll do just about anything to help them. So I tried it for about 3 nights or so and my baby was back to his happy, running around, causing chaos little self. Not only that but he did sleep better than usual. Now, I know not everyone believes in the whole essential oils thing but I was super relieved my baby felt better.
So with all this excitement going on around me. I’ve been super busy. Although I have recently gotten into the Gilmore Girls TV series and I love it. So during my me time I sit down and watch it. Of course after I play with my baby and continue learning more about Young Living. I must say I feel like I’m going nonstop sometimes but it’s nice to be busy and it makes you enjoy your downtime a lot more than you usually would. I know I have said it a million times but Jackson is growing so fast its hard to believe he will be one year old the 4th of February. My little man. I love him so much. On a side note my husband has found something he loves to do that he hadn’t done in a while; writing. He is currently working on a book. I love watching him type away and how much he enjoys it as much as I enjoy what I do. I love my little family. That’s all. 🙂
Super excited! I can barely contain myself. I finally after almost a month and a half got my oils kit back. I was super excited to be able to diffuse oils again. Now remember I have an 11 month old who is in diapers. I swear the smell of them linger! I just put some purification, with a touch of lemon and orange, in that bad boy and all lingering smells of diapers were gone! I mean gone, I could no longer smell it. Any parent knows the feeling of lingering diaper smells…gross. Super happy Momma over here guys! Thank you for dealing with my excitement about the little things in life 🙂
So while I was gone, if you read one of my more recent posts, you saw that I said something about Essential Oils. I did it again folks I stepped a little further out of my comfort zone and bought a Young Living oil kit. I’ll definitely make a separate page for you guys in case that’s not your thing. I’ll post on both pages. I just wanted to throw it out there though and tell you guys a little about it because I’m just super excited and learning more on how to actually use them. When I first got it I had like no clue what was what, I just knew that most of it smelled good. Did you know you could take pills with oils in it and they have oils you can cook with? Like what?! I was super excited when I got my kit while on vacation. They have oils that you can out in your water so it tastes better, something I will definitely be using so I’ll actually drink more water. They also have this natural drink, it’s got a bit of a bite to it but it’s not too bad. They also have like a diffuser that can go into a USB drive, which is what kinda caught my attention. They just have so much and I’m super excited. I wont talk your ear off too much. I’ll make a page so if you want to know more or buy you’ll be able to get the info. Thanks for dealing with my excitement guys!! 🙂
