Can I just throw out there that lately I’ve been putting a drop or two of eucalyptus and lavender in the bottom of my shower. I LOVE IT! You know, if you’ve ever had the pleasure of going to the spa, that they have a steam room or sauna room. Well, back in California I have amazing people in my life who gave me a card to get a free spa treatment. While this new mom to an eight month old at the time gladly took a spa treatment, I went into one of these lovely rooms and they had eucalyptus oil mixed with the steam the sprayed out occasionally. It was by far the most relaxing place. Mix that room with a cold glass of cucumber water and it’s one awesome day. So as I said I’ve been putting eucalyptus and lavender in the bottom of my shower and with a little less steam it is still sooooooo relaxing. Did I put enough O’s? haha I just love that I can be in my own shower and get the same relaxing feeling as a sauna/ steam room.
So as I said I would make a separate page for all my essential oils for you guys. I finally did but I cant post there it will still be on my home page as well. So it’s just more in depth I guess. On this lovely page I will post my personal link for anyone wanting to peruse through things, I just have to get that website set up. I have grown to love what all they have done for my family and I. Knowing everything is completely produced by them and how picky they are with the product they put out, puts this mommas mind at ease. So hop on over to the young living tab to know just a little more about young living and I 🙂
I told you guys how excited I was to go back to school an how I had signed up for a Spanish class. Well, I was excited. Haha. Now I’m wondering why I choose to do a foreign language for the computer instead of a classroom. So many question and no present professor. Online they take 2-3 days to get back to you and by then, let’s face it, I’m going to completely forget why I needed help. So as I sit here trying to figure out the best way to go about a class that has already started I’m telling you guys how I feel about foreign languages online you really should just go in a classroom or speak with a native. Thankfully I have my husband who speaks enough Spanish growing up with family who spoke Spanish very well. If any of you lovely people have any suggestions on the best way to learn through an online class let me know 🙂 As always thank you for taking your time to read my random thoughts 🙂
I’m super excited today guys. So I finally did it, I finally signed up for my second college class. I have been graduated for three years. Yes, I know that’s not long but it is at the same time. I have been dreading trying to figure out how to work, go to school, and spend enough time with my family. I feel like I’m going to be a busy bee. I know I’ll survive but I always want to make sure I spend enough time with my son and husband. Time management will start to become a big part of my life the next few months. The class I signed up for though shouldn’t be too hard I signed up for Spanish. It may not be hard but I have a feeling it is going to be very time consuming. I gotta have my baby cuddles and hubby time!
So it’s winter which means it’s also cold and flu season along with everything else. So of course the one time we take Jack out shopping with us he develops the start of a cold the following two days. He was having trouble sleeping too because he was having a hard time breathing with his stuffy, runny nose. So since I have an oil diffuser I thought well we could put some lavender in it because that’s suppose to help you sleep, right? Well, I was thinking maybe I could throw in some thieves, too, because it’s suppose to help boost your immune system. When you have a sick baby you’ll do just about anything to help them. So I tried it for about 3 nights or so and my baby was back to his happy, running around, causing chaos little self. Not only that but he did sleep better than usual. Now, I know not everyone believes in the whole essential oils thing but I was super relieved my baby felt better.
So my husband thought it would be cute if he taught Jack how to growl and now he does it all the time. It is the cutest thing. He does it a lot when he is a happy boy. He’ll wake up from a nap and sometimes the only way we know he’s awake is because he’s talking and growling haha. When he’s playing with his stuffed bear he’ll do it then too. He’s walking with a lot more confidence. Now he’s learning how to stand up by himself, he’s done it a few times so far. It is amazing how quick he picks up on everything. I love watching him learn his own boundaries knowing what he can and cannot do. It’s like one big fun adventure with him.
So with all this excitement going on around me. I’ve been super busy. Although I have recently gotten into the Gilmore Girls TV series and I love it. So during my me time I sit down and watch it. Of course after I play with my baby and continue learning more about Young Living. I must say I feel like I’m going nonstop sometimes but it’s nice to be busy and it makes you enjoy your downtime a lot more than you usually would. I know I have said it a million times but Jackson is growing so fast its hard to believe he will be one year old the 4th of February. My little man. I love him so much. On a side note my husband has found something he loves to do that he hadn’t done in a while; writing. He is currently working on a book. I love watching him type away and how much he enjoys it as much as I enjoy what I do. I love my little family. That’s all. 🙂
